Boreal toad
The Boreal, or Western, toad (Anaxyrus boreas) inhabit western British Colombia and southern Alaska south from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, western Montana and western Wyoming to northern California, Nevada, western Colorado, and western Utah. These toads are terrestrial but require open water for breeding.
Although Boreal toads live in a variety of habitats, their existence is threatened by disease and chemical contamination.
