Columbia Spotted Frog

Columbia Spotted Frog (Rana luteiventris) is a green to brown, spotted North American frog species which has been the model species for studing the effects of habitat fragmentation. As they are mainly aquatic, they usually inhabit areas with permanent bodies of water.  They require lots of low vegetation for hiding from predators.

Breeding times vary between February at sea level to June in high elevations such as in Wyoming.
